Lake has is extremely playful and has lost most of his shyness -- he is seeks attention and pets and is enthusiastic about car rides! Please take note of Lake's slender build - his coat suggests Golden Retriever, but his build and activity level are alllll Border Collie!

Applicants should have breed experience and at least one *if not more* playful and highly active dogs! If you believe your situation may be a match for Lake's needs, please complete our online application.

"Fenced yard" means, a backyard that is adjacent to and connected with your residence. (It does not mean a nearby fenced area or dog park.)
"Companion animal" means, needs at least one other friendly, playful dog that lives in the same household.
We do not adopt to college students because it has been our experience that most do not know where life will take them in the next few years, and adopting a dog is a serious, lifetime commitment for the dog.

Dogs remain posted while we screen potential adopters. The dog's status will show "available" "pending adoption" or "adopted." As long as dog's status is "available" we continue to accept applications.

We are staffed by all volunteers and use an application protocol to handle all inquiries about adoptable dogs. This system enables an efficiency that allows us to save and care for more dogs. Discussion about a dog - including scheduling of a home check or other dialogue - cannot occur until we have received your completed adoption application. NO EXCEPTIONS. Thank you!

Our dogs are placed in the greater Phoenix area ONLY.

Each dog brought into Better Days Rescue is screened for Giardia, Heartworm, Tick Fever, and Valley Fever, and placed on preventive medicine. They are altered, vaccinated, and microchipped.
