Hi! I’m Bailey and I’m gentle, careful, sweet-spirited, and full of fun! My world has expanded since coming to rescue.  I enjoy watching you work and will keep you company indoors or out while you do chores or read. I love being spoken to and pet, and I enjoy a soft bed for naps. I have learned to sleep in a crate at night there is really no need because I am Just. That. Good. <3

As you might guess, I love a brisk walk or trot around the yard, and I'm learning that car trips are enjoyable! I'm a great passenger! A power-walk around the neighborhood is high on my list of great ways to start and end the day. Although I've learned to use the dog door, I can also go to the big door and let you know when I need to go outside.

Bailey seeks companionship of a human or humans who will provide exercise, and companionship. She LOVES to be loved!!! <3 She'll do great as an only dog, or with a larger, polite and confident dog (she is sometimes a bit bossy with submissive or smaller dogs.)

If you believe you’re a possible match for Bailey, please complete the online  adoption application!

We encourage you to register on our site and "Favorite" the dog(s) that interest you, so that you will be notified when bio or photos are updated.

**IMPORTANT**

  • "Fenced yard" means, a backyard that is adjacent to and connected with your residence . (It does not mean a nearby fenced area/dog park.)
  • Gates must have padlocks and thresholds (cement or buried pavers to prevent digging.)
  • Yard and patio must be free of debris and have room for dogs to run and play on a lawn and/or a very shaded area.
  • We do not place dogs in situations where there are "drained" or empty swimming pools, which are a fall hazard and contribute to the propogation of mosquitos.
  • We DO NOT adopt to students as we have found that they often do not know or anticipate where life is taking them next.

Dogs remain posted while we screen potential adopters. As long as dog is designated "Available" we continue to accept applications.

We are staffed by all volunteers and use an application protocol to handle all inquiries about adoptable dogs. This system enables an efficiency that allows us to save and care for more dogs. Discussion about a dog - including scheduling of a home check or other dialogue - cannot occur until we have received your completed adoption applicationNO EXCEPTIONS. Thank you!
