Adoption of Moira begins with a Foster-To-Adopt arrangement that continues until
Puppy Kindergarten and Canine Good Citizen training are completed.
Adoption can then be finalized.
Moira is a happy, enthusiastic pup who loves humans and other dogs. She is sweet and funny, but is also extremely strong and working on her leash manners and social skills. The world is her oyster and she would like to RUN up and BEFRIEND every dog and human she meets!
Moira is strong and requires active humans who will enjoy helping her to learn to channel her excitement. Despite her gentle sweetness, until Moira has benefitted from the above-described training, she will be too much for young children. She LOVES humans and LOVES to play with other dogs — a strong, very obedient and well-adjusted similar-size dog playmate will help her settle into her new home.
Please see Moira's video to fully appreciate how much she LOVES to swim! She would love a home with Golden Retrievers or other dogs who love to swim daily. We're pretty sure she would like to meet adopters who'd like to try the Arizona Dock Dogs!
If you believe you're a possible match for Moira, please complete an adoption application! Please include information regarding your experience with this breed, and also with raising and training a puppy.
Our fees and policies are on our home page at We encourage you to register on our site and "Favorite" the dog(s) that interest you, so that you will be notified when bio or photos are updated.

**IMPORTANT** If you are reading this on a pet search site, PLEASE navigate to our animal list and rea  d this dog's entire, detailed profile.

  • "Fenced yard" means, a backyard that is adjacent to and connected with your residence. (It does not mean a nearby fenced area/dog park.)
  • "Companion animal" means, needs at least one other friendly dog that lives in the same household.
  • We DO NOT adopt to students as we have found that they often do not know or anticipate where life is taking them next.

Dogs remain posted while we screen potential adopters. As long as dog is designated "Available" we continue to accept applications.

We are staffed by all volunteers and use an application protocol to handle all inquiries about adoptable dogs. This system enables an efficiency that allows us to save and care for more dogs. Discussion about a dog - including scheduling of a home check or other dialogue - cannot occur until we have received your completed adoption applicationNO EXCEPTIONS. Thank you!
