We encourage you to register on our site and "Favorite" Dove so that you will be notified when her bio, photos, or status are updated.
Dove will be placed in the Phoenix metro area, for proximity to our rescue (home checks, follow up visits, visit to finalize adoption) and for access to our veterinarian. Sorry, no exceptions.
Sweet little Dove came to us from a faraway place. She's recovering from being injured earlier this year and, while she will never be a marathoner, is already getting around very well. Dove is very happy to be with us, and will be living in a foster home where she'll continue to heal and get strong.
Dove is great with gentle children, other dogs, and gets along with chickens, ducks and bunnies! We do not know if she could live with cats, but with careful introduction that may be possible.
Dover requires a securely fenced yard and at least one doggie friend in the household. She needs humans who are home most of the time, and would enjoy children older than 12 who understand the need for careful activity as she continues to improve.
Once Dove is designated "Available" her name will appear in the list on our online application. If you feel you are a potential match for her needs, please complete the application!
"Companion animal" means, needs at least one other friendly, playful dog that lives full-time in the same household.
"Fenced yard" means, a backyard that is adjacent to and connected with your residence. (It does not mean a nearby fenced area/dog park.)
Gates must have padlocks and thresholds (cement or buried pavers to prevent digging.)
Yard and patio must be free of debris and have room for dogs to run and play on a lawn and/or a very shaded area.
“Swimming pool” means an in-ground, year-round pool available to the dog daily or multiple times per week.
We do not place dogs in situations where there are "drained" or empty swimming pools, which are a fall hazard and contribute to the propogation of mosquitos.
Last and not least, we DO NOT adopt to students as we have found that they often do not know or anticipate where life is taking them next.
Discussion about a dog - including scheduling of a home check or other dialogue - cannot occur until we have received your completed adoption application. NO EXCEPTIONS. Thank you!
