Henry On The Move

Jun 30, 2025

‍So, Henry went on a staycation at BDR B & B (a Bark & Board temporary foster). I’m told he was “a good boy, great on house-training, took his medicines like a big boy.” In general, Henry did fine and he even had a fantastic brushing!

‍Stoic Henry did not show much excitement at seeing me, but he sat by the “exit” door. His heart was beating hard, palpable. Henry was lifted into the car, where he had rapid respiration while we made the 40 minute drive to our doggie-sitting destination.

‍Henry was happy to greet Kona and Sadie. Sadie was not happy to greet Henry — true to his nature, Henry was the pacifist!

‍When it was time to go home, Henry was again resistant to getting into the car. This trip, however, he settled in after a few minutes of lip puffing. He fell asleep once and looked very startled when he woke up. He settled again and had a great remainder of car ride.

‍Alert and happy to see familiar scenery at home, Henry meandered around the backyard while I unpacked a few things. He came into the house after about ten minutes outside.

‍Then, Henry ran to his room and pooped.

‍PLAN: Introduce Vitamin D3 (to compliment calcium and collagen, and to support Vitamin C; allow more calories, begin basic obedience training (here at the house).

‍Former BDR Medical Foster Hope and her new brother Cubby will stay with us for four days.
